As an artist and greetings card publisher, I take great pleasure in creating Christmas cards that bring a touch of humour and festive spirit to my original wildlife illustrations. Each card is designed with care, featuring British wildlife adorned with playful christmassy additions like Santa hats, scarves, or some cheerful baubles. I'd love to share a bit about my process and the meaningful cause that each card supports.
My Creative Process:
The journey of creating each Christmas card starts with a. original drawing. I love animals and always look to capture their personality and a little glint in their eye, from majestic stags to cheeky foxes, using traditional methods in either pencil or pastels.
Once I have the original artwork, I begin creating Christmas symbols on a separate piece of paper. Rather than altering the main design (which I always used to do!) I draw them separately, and then digitally combine them with the original drawing using software like Procreate or Canva, where I may also add some falling snow for a wintery feel. In the early days, I didn’t know anything about digital tools and would painstakingly draw two separate versions of each design! It was incredibly time-consuming and there just weren’t enough hours in the day! Now, I use software solely to merge my original hand-drawn components and also to create the digital layout so the cards are ready for professional printing.

Supporting a Worthy Cause
For the second year running, I’m proud that a portion of the sales from my Christmas cards goes to support the West Kent Autism Parents Support Society. This incredible organisation provides guidance and resources to parents and carers of children with autism, Asperger’s, and social communication difficulties. Their work is vital in helping families navigate the challenges of autism and in fostering a supportive community - they have personally been of extraordinary help to me and my family.
By purchasing one of my Christmas cards, you’re also contributing to a cause that makes a real difference in the lives of over 350 families all over West Kent and helps this society continue its important work.
I hope they bring a smile to your face!
